It’s been a fair amount of time since we were the photographers for the incredible wedding of Lisa & Edward. And so it’s with this wedding which finished with glasses being raised to the setting sun near Guildford that we start with the 2016 Winter photography blogs.
Even before the celebrations began to build up flow, there was the exciting possibility that this tailor made wedding organised through Blank Canvas Weddings would offer the fruits of what our wedding photography yearns for.
As is so often the case with wedding venues in the UK, the possibilities to capture the fruits of such a wonderful day is limited by the boundaries of the building where the fleeting moments of magic happen. When we spoke to Lisa & Edward in the spring months before the wedding we knew that this was a couple building their own wedding with each part linking up hand-in-hand to create a day where family and friends, hope and happiness are celebrated in equal part. The sum of this is in the selection of pictures below, the delicate holding of hands, the gentle kiss on the cheek and the unchecked enjoyment of youth.
What you get is a wedding overflowing with moments of joy and happiness in a venue where walls aren’t limiting the possibilities of photography and the people within them. In essence it was a wedding photographers blessing.
Lisa & Edward chose to bless their wedding and christen their adorable little girl at St Mary’s Church in the 10th century church in Thorpe before continuing their celebration at Littlefield Manor, nestled just outside of Guildford. This incredible Tudor and Jacobean manor sits majestically within acres of rolling country hills at the beginning of the Surrey hills. To talk earlier about the joys of photographing without walls is only really a blessing when the weather plays it’s part in proceedings too.
We hope as we head in to 2017, to receive another wedding photography inquiry from somebody else looking to build another day without walls. For the meantime, we hope you enjoy the selection of pictures below as much as we enjoyed being the wedding photographers at Littlefield Manor.
