It’s an unusual feeling to have to write a shorter than usual prologue on a wedding location that existed up until but two weeks after this wedding. Clandon Park was quite something to behold from the inside with its grand entrance hall to the beautifully kept grounds outside. I haven’t been down to the wedding venue since and I am sure the grounds are still as lovely for a stroll around. Still, in some way, the memories from this magical day are hopefully the more special because of it.
Sarah and James chose to tie the knot earlier on, on a lovely sunny day at Saint Mary’s church in Shalford, just a stones throw from Guildford. We’d love to have included a few pictures of what happened inside the church but ‘rules are rules’ and it seems the vicar sufficiently liked his rules. Suffice to say it was as lovely inside as it was on the grounds surrounding the Saxon church. We managed to find a couple of locations from the water mill down the road straight after a few family pictures (including a slightly crazed lady who took a shine to young James) before traveling to one of the most panoramic views across the Surrey hills at Newlands Corner, one of Sarah & James’s favorite places.
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to capture a few lovely moments of Sarah and James’ wedding day. We’ve included a selection of them just below.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them :).
