I’ve got a nice cup of coffee and a short lived penchant to catch up on wedding stories. There’s no time like the present to catch up on the past, especially when it brought two of the best people in life together through marriage! It’s Katie & Pete – I’ve known them for a few years and they’re pretty damn cool. Like Star Wars, Pirates and many beautiful things sailing across the seas into a sunset.
Katie & Pete chose the beautiful and majestic Farnham Castle for their wedding. Set in the very heart of Surrey, Farnham Castle was built by the grandson of William the conqueror in 1138 and overlooks the lovely town of Farnham just a stones throw from our base in Godlaming. Farnham is O-so close to where Katie & Pete lay their immediate future plans and where their family and friends met on this day to celebrate the joining of the bride and groom. Both local lovelies, teen sweethearts and full time nice people, Katie & Pete made the most beautiful bride & groom and although the weather didn’t play completely on our side we still managed to find some nice little spots between the grand gatehouse and spectacular niches within the castle itself.
Of all the weddings we choose to photograph, this wedding solidly gave the most tellingly magical memories of love and belonging during the ceremony. It’s not always possible to duplicate and cast a net over love. Unlike Katie & Pete not every person visibly wears their expressions of love, but you know its there. Sit on the front rows and I swear you’ll feel it. Close your eyes and you know its there.
We very much enjoyed being the wedding photographers at Farnham Castle and hope you enjoy the following selection of pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them! We’ve included some of the pictures from our Mighty PhotoBooth too! 🙂
