I’ve had the fortune and pleasure to know Wendy for a number of years, working through the days at the hospital in Guildford. It turns out I’m amongst many, many others who, in one way or another have been blessed in some way to know them. Someone asked just the other week “What is the best part of a wedding for a wedding photographer”? Apart from a couple of shots that I’ll keep to myself, there’s a part in any wedding day that condenses the feelings of everyone there. That part being the ‘speeches’, the part of the day where it’s time to get back on my achy knee’s (I’ve been through three pairs of worn through trousers already this year) and frame up the smile, the teary eye and the remarkable feeling that everyone’s there for this particular moment in life. You’ll find some of these wedding pictures nestled amongst others just below.
Robin & Wendy and their gorgeous Scarlett chose the magnificent Saint John’s church of Merrow in Guildford to tie the knot before heading over the rolling hills of Surrey to the centuries old Bury Court Barn in Farnham. Once a thriving hop farm before a conversion to a nursery (the plant kind). What was once a concrete courtyard now plays its part as a tapestry of flowers through which the warm sun filters through on days such as these.
If you were there, you won’t need me to tell you any more about the day than the sum of your warm memories and the connections in the wedding pictures below. We loved it.
It was a great pleasure to be Wendy & Robin’s wedding photographer at Bury Court Barn, but more than that, it’s a greater pleasure to be one of the hundreds who are blessed to know them, above all else.
