Actually, tell a fib, this wedding took place at the Kingscote Barn in Gloucestershire. (Google doesn’t particularly like me working in Guildford, my last enquiry came from Russia so I’m trying to push home the point).
Kingscote Barn is nestled amongst the rolling fields of the Cotswold’s and ticks probably more boxes to a dream location for any non-city person than most brides would hope for! The barn structure is so well open to natural light its a dream to photograph without worrying about filling the whole place up with flash lighting. I’m a firm believer and preacher that anyone with a camera (any camera) one eyeball and a pinch of emotion can take a good picture. I’ll inevitably be tied into this conversation with a friendly stranger every wedding. Knowing how to use light however tends to be the next step up where a photographer can create images with natural and flash lighting. Multi-tasking the composition of a wedding and lighting is where the joy of photography takes on an extra dimension.
